Aroma and taste: The Grüner Veltliner ’21 proved to be outstanding, strongly spicy, while the terroir where it comes from was also easily recognizable in it. It comes from a sandy-clay soil, as Béla Hamvas wrote: “..it is filled with tiny star particles, and these particles starts to dance in the person’s blood like the Milky Way coming to life.” – and that was exactly our feeling during tasting. With the wines Grüner Veltliner ’20 and Riesling ’22 we strengthened the body and acidity of the wine to create a harmonious, elegant yet serious wine. We have specially chosen an oak barrel for this wine, which, thanks to its origin and processing, increases the wine’s minerality and varietal character. The sur lie ageing is also clearly noticeable, which gives the wine fullness and creaminess. Precipitation of tartrate crystals or sediment is the result of a natural process; it does not affect the quality of the wine.

Food pairing: spring vegetables and pepper as ingredients, tenderloin, ravioli with pumpkin sauce, exotic spices, cream soups, Asian cuisine
